Vetusta Morla es el grupo musical español de rock más importante de los últimos años. Desde la presentación de su álbum debut en 2008, el sexteto no ha dejado de recibir el reconocimiento de público y crítica hasta convertirse en el referente del auge de la música en directo en España.

En 2018, Vetusta Morla vuelve a crear un nuevo hito con la gira Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar, al ser la primera banda española de su género capaz de reunir a 38.000 personas en un concierto propio, el celebrado el 23 de Junio en la explanada de la Caja Mágica de Madrid. Este concierto ha sido galardonadoconelPremioOndasNacionaldeMúsica en la categoría de“Mejorespectáculo,gira o festival” por la repercusión en términos de afluencia, 38.000 asistentes, y por el salto cualitativo en el planteamiento escenográfico y el estudio detallista de su propuesta. Vetusta ha cuidado cada interpretación como una experiencia única. Además vive hoy un momento único en su carrera, tejiendo de manera autónoma una de las comunidades musicales más fieles en España y donde el vivo es parte esencial en su propuesta artística.”

La gira, que comenzó en el mes de marzo de 2018 en América Latina con 8 directos, 2 en Portugal y 17 en España ya ha sido vista por más de 176.000 personas. Vetusta Morla ha conseguido que sus shows sean auténticos acontecimientos en cada una de las plazas por las que está pasando. Estos números de asistencia avalan el crecimiento paulatino y constante de Vetusta Morla desde su formación hace ahora 20 años.

Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar, la que está siendo la gira del año por la numerosa concurrencia de público, también lo es por una propuesta escénica y artística nunca antes realizada en España. El espectáculo presentado en esta gira de grandes recintos cuenta con un imponente y sofisticado soporte visual que apoya la contundente interpretación de unos Vetusta Morla en su mejor momento como músicos.

Más de medio millón de asistentes a su anterior gira (que en casi dos años les llevó a dar más de ciento veinte conciertos en una decena de países de Europa y América), dos Discos de Platino (por las más de 55.000 copias vendidas de Un día en el mundo y las más de 40.000 de 15151), tres Discos de Oro (más de 38.000 unidades vendidas de Mapas; más de 31.000 de La Deriva; más de 20.000 copias en un mes de Mismo Sitio,  Distinto Lugar ) y tres nominaciones a los Latin Grammy 2018 a Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar(Mejor Álbum Alternativo, Mejor Canción Alternativa Consejo de Sabios y Mejor Diseño de Empaque) son sólo algunas de las cifras que acompañan a una banda que ha gestionado su carrera desde su propio sello discográfico, Pequeño Salto Mortal. Casi todos sus álbumes han sido licenciados en países en los que la banda gira con asiduidad y en los que cuentan con una legión de seguidores como México, Argentina, Colombia yAlemania.
