Started in January 1992 by Aphazel as a one-man band.

Originally Ancient was a Norwegian band (from Eidsvagneset in Bergen). Aphazel moved to the USA late 1995 and recruited a whole new band there, but after 3 years decided to relocate to Italy after having met Deadly Kristin.
