1. Performing Captured Data by Camille Baker and Axolot

27/11/2026 9:30h-12:30h, UOC
A collaboration between Camille Baker, Citlali Heández and Iván Paz
Likes, scrolls and clicks are small body gestures captured as data by digital platforms and used to create categories.

In this workshop, participants will work with their personal data downloaded from platforms such as Instagram, Facebook or Google. We will reflect on what is captured, what it represents and how this information is organized by using a small toolkit based on command line tools and regular expressions. All the tools will be presented in the workshop so no previous programming knowledge is required.

The workshop starts with an active body experience followed by a shared analysis of the personal data. We will search for pattes to create classifications and remixes that will be used as material for embodied experimentation.

Performing Captured Data is a workshop to explore the data we produce and to propose other relationships with it.
