Inquisition est un groupe de black metal qui s'est formé à Cali, en Colombie, en 1988, et plus tard a déménagé à Seattle, Washington. Le groupe possédait un son thrash metal sur ses premiers enregistrements, mais a commencé en incorporant des influences black metal en 1998 avec son premier album complet, Into the Infernal Regions of the Ancient Cult.
