 Sam (Corey Haim) y Michael Emerson (Jason Patric) son dos chicos americanos muy convencionales. Tras el divorcio de sus padres, se instalan con su madre en la tranquila ciudad de Santa Carla (California), donde corren rumores sobre vampiros.
