SINOPSIS: Una madre se despide de su hijo mientras aguardan al padre que vendrá a buscarlos enseguida para partir a un largo viaje. De alguna manera el hijo ya se fue hace tiempo: se encerró en sí mismo, en una cápsula de hermetismo. El padre ha de llevarlo a un hospital y dejarlo internado para que se cure de su trastorno mental.
En este tiempo de espera, la madre busca palabras para despedirse, sin recibir respuesta alguna de parte del joven. Los recuerdos le golpean, insistentes, evocando así ante él y ante el público la historia de una mujer desesperada, una mujer que ha nacido únicamente para ver sonreír a su hijo. Un hijo que no solo no sonríe, sino que permanece ausente, ido, o tal vez habite un mundo para los demás humanos inaccesible.
