LA VOZ DORMIDA nace de mano de la escritora española Dulce Chacón. Basada en la posguerra española, un grupo de mujeres encarceladas en la madrileña prisión de Ventas, enarbola la bandera de la dignidad y el coraje como única arma posible para enfrentarse a la humillación, la tortura y la
muerte. Como bien dice su autora “Es una historia de tiempos de silencio, donde relata el sufrimiento de aquellas mujeres que perdieron una guerra y la agonía que vivían sin conocer cúal sería su final”. La obra está documentada en historias reales, la autora suavizó alguna de ellas e introdujo
nuevos matices. Fue su última novela publicada en 2002 y premiada en la Feria del Libro de Madrid por el Gremio de Libreros de Madrid como Libro del Año 2003.
