II FESTIVAL SEREIA DE FORRÓ Y CULTURA POPULAR - Barcelona, 31 de enero a 02 de febrero de 2020, Barcelona

The Festival Sereia is an event that celebrates the connection between brazilian popular culture and the city of Barcelona. And it wants to do it in a big way, using the forró, the brazilian couple dance most loved by europeans, as the thread of a much broader artistic experience. The 1st Festival Sereia will take place in Barcelona from February 1st to 3rd of 2019, coinciding with the celebrations of Yemanjá and La Candelaria, parties with female protagonists, a good context for women to share the role of leader in the couple dance. This great cultural meeting will offer workshops, entertainment and festivities for the public in Barcelona and the rest of Europe, taking as a tonic the culture and popular rhythms that soak the forró. Europe will enjoy Brazil and Barcelona, Yemanjá and Candelaria, water and fire, forró and rumba, ciranda and sardanas ... and sirens!
