Arona acogerá el mayor evento de FMX en Tenerife el próximo 18 de julio. Será a partir de las 21.00 horas en el estadio Antonio Domínguez. La isla tendrá a varios campeones de la especialidad que darán lo mejor de sí y subirán los niveles de adrenalina de Tenerife.
Su cartel de pilotos y la posibilidad de ver trucos en Tenerife que antes no se habían visto.
Tenerife recibirá al actual campeón del mundo y también a un campeón del mundo Red-Bull. 2015 será un año para enmarcar con las presencia de pilotos de tan alto nivel.
Es el caso de Dany Torres (campeón del mundo Red Bull) y que es el mejor rider que ejecuta el backflip lazy boy. Nadie como él en el mundo realiza este truco.
Y también es el caso de Maikel Melero (campeón del Mundo FIM 2014) que tiene especial relación con el body variant, siendo uno de los pilotos que mejor realiza este truco.
Comenzó con trucos fáciles y fue subiendo la dificultad cada vez más hasta que llegó un punto en el que tuvo que construirse su propia piscina de esponjas para probar los trucos de mayor dificultad.
Su carrera de Freestyle empezó en Estepona gracias a Javi González que le dio la oportunidad de probar esta modalidad. Tres años más tarde empezó a hacer eventos más fuertes, siendo invitado a los Red Bull X-Fighters de las ventas, evento que impulsó mucho su carrera...
En al año 2007 se cumplió uno de sus sueños, participar en los X Games. Desde entonces ya ha participado 5 veces y año tras año ha ido mejorando sus resultados hasta el 2011: año en el que obtuvo la tan preciada medalla. También se proclamó campeón del mundo en el campeonato más prestigioso: los Red Bull X-Fighters (2011).
Otro de los eventos importantes son los X-Knights que ha ganado 5 veces. También destacan los eventos nacionales.
En el 2005 probó por primera vez el Freestyle MotoCross (FMX) gracias a Dany Torres que lo invitó a su casa a probar esta disciplina y le enseño los primeros trucos. Desde entonces se convirtió en su trabajo y su mayor hobby.
2010 fue el año en el que comenzó a participar en competiciones internacionales de gran nivel gracias a una invitación de Red Bull para participar en el Red Bull X-Fighters de Madrid en el cual quedó en octava posición y fue elegido como segundo mejor “Rookie” del campeonato.
Desde entonces su carrera deportiva se catapultó y ha sido invitado a participar en numerosas pruebas del campeonato y en otras muchas de prestigio internacional. Uno de sus sueños se hizo realidad y en 2014 se alzó con el título mundial.
