Santi Ibarretxe was born 1964 in Bilbao. He studies piano and classic flute, but he’s soon kidnapped by the spirit of jazz and improvised music.

After winning several jazz contests in Spain, he moves to Copenhagen in 1989, where for 9 years he grows as a performer and versatile musician.
