The new collaboration of Greek piano and ney player and composer Christos Barbas with Norwegian drummer and composer Thomas Strønen Greek oud player Alexandros Papadimitrakis, reflects an wide range of influences from folk and classical music, to contemporary and ambient. Through a series of intensely melodic compositions and joined improvisations that breath freshness into the air, the modes, embellishments from the age-old Middle-Eastern musics and their mystical lyricism, go hand by hand with an exploration of new areas of amalgamating acoustic and electric sound.
