L'esperienza e la maturità incontrano l'esuberanza giovanile! Lo svedese Herbert Blomstedt — un direttore d'orchestra eccezionale sotto ogni punto di vista — avrà quasi 96 anni quando dirigerà questo programma. La solista che si esibirà con la Chamber Orchestra of Europe, la violinista di origine andalusa María Dueñas, ex allieva dell'Accademia di Musica di Dresda, avrà appena compiuto 20 anni. Questa matinée dimostrerà quanto possano essere fruttuose queste collaborazioni interpretando l'emozionante Concerto per violino di Beethoven. Seguirà la Terza Sinfonia di Mendelssohn, ispirata da un viaggio in Scozia, ma completata solo nel 1842 e spesso considerata la sua opera sinfonica più importante.
