About the Event
Be a part of the great tradition of classical music in Dresden. The Dresdner Residenz Orchester presents Christmas Songs, Schubert's Ave Maria and Bach's Air.
Music has been a part of life in the Zwinger since the palace was built in the early 18th century. The excellent musicians of the Dresdner Residenz Orchester continue the musical tradition under the capable leadership of violinist and conductor Igor Malinovsky.
Practical Information
Wallpavillon
The concert hall in the Wall Pavilion is located on the upper level of the Dresden Zwinger opposite the Glockenspiel Pavilion. One path leads up from the inner courtyard of the Zwinger via curved steps. The second path leads from Theaterplatz over a small rampart — located to the right of the Alte Meister restaurant / Theaterplatz 1a and opposite the left side of the Semperoper Dresden — to the upper level. This access is barrier-free, but only as far as the auditorium. There are three sandstone steps to climb. On concert days, signs will guide you to us. Due to the historical construction, the toilets and the hall are unfortunately not barrier-free but only accessible via steps.
