Joe Goddard es miembro de Hot Chip y The 2 Bears, además de compositor, productor, DJ, remezclador y cofundador del sello Greco-Roman. También ha producido temas para Franz Ferdinand, Beard Sumner, Little Boots, Dels y Mashrou' Leila, además de publicar una serie de singles en solitario.

“Gabriel”, su hipnótico éxito de 2011 junto a la cantante Valentina, fue su primer gran logro más allá de Hot Chip. Este impulso dio paso a nuevos lanzamientos como “Taking Over” y a su primer álbum en solitario en Domino, Electric Lines. Joe Goddard is a member of Hot Chip and The 2 Bears, as well as a songwriter, producer, DJ, remixer and co-founder of the Greco-Roman label. Like Four Tet, Caribou and Jamie xx, Joe blends a thirst for experimentation with an instinctive understanding of the dancefloor and a love for left-of-centre pop music.

During the 1990s he attended Elliott School in Putney, where he met his Hot Chip bandmate Alexis Taylor and his long-time friend Kieran Hebden. As a teenager, he moved from indie and hip hop to drum’n’bass, then to house and garage, always excited by those moments when underground music crossed over into the charts.

Alongside seven albums with Hot Chip and two with Raf Rundell as The 2 Bears, Joe has remixed artists including Kraftwerk, New Order, Disclosure, Dirty Projectors, The Chemical Brothers, Wiley and Jessie Ware. He has also produced tracks for Franz Ferdinand, Beard Sumner, Little Boots, Dels and Mashrou' Leila, as well as releasing a string of solo singles.

“Gabriel,” his haunting 2011 hit with singer Valentina, marked his first major success outside Hot Chip. It paved the way for further releases such as “Taking Over” and his first proper solo album on Domino, Electric Lines. A keen collaborator, he has recently released music with Michael Mayer, Tuff City Kids, Eats Everything, Mathew Dear, Mixhell and Hayden Thorpe, while working on new projects and the follow-up to his solo work.
